As the earth’s ecological environmental damage increased, and fossil fuel energydrying up, urgent need for new sources of energy to support the operation of humansociety. Countries around the world looking to the ocean,sea area accounted for70%ofthe earth, which is not only rich in various resources, such as oil, natural gas andcombustible ice, also there is a huge, clean, renewable Marine energy. Wave energy, asthe representative of the Marine energy, and it can be extracted through appropriatedevice to rich economy energy, and thus got much attention around the world. Thehuman study of wave energy has more than100years, and now, the use of wave energypower generation technology has had a breakthrough, already on the basis of thepreliminary research and the model experiment to build simple small device extractwave energy from the sea. In this paper, design a new type of wave energy powergeneration device based on the existing theory and technology of wave energy powergeneration, namely five wing lie wheeled wave energy generation device. In this paper,the five wing wheel wave energy generation device has carried on the design,component selection, simulation analysis of the blade hydrodynamic performance, andhas made prototype and test in the sink and trial on the sea. The following are the designidea of this paper.(1)This paper has identified the five wing lie wheel design principle and workingprinciple of wave energy power generation device according to the theory of oceanwave motion at first, and introduce some relevant basic theory will be used, such as,airfoil theory, theory of the mechanical seal.(2)According to the basic theory and wave energy power generation device workrequirements,this paper has identified the five wing lie wheeled wave energy powergeneration device design scheme, and determine the structure of the device, selection of main components according to the practical need for custom.(3)According to design of plant leaf size,modeling on the scale, using the fluiddynamics analysis software Fluent, and carrying out hydrodynamic performanceanalysis, and has analyzed the velocity, revolution and installation Angle on itshydrodynamic performance.(4)Build a small prototype,and has done three experiment in the sink, combinefluid analysis on Fluent software, and optimize the device design. Later, choose a livetest has been conducted on the Xiamen sea area, has verified the feasibility of deviceand the correctness of the fluid analysis.
