Optimization Method Of Train Diagram Of Passenger Dedicated Lines Concerning Multiple Units Turnover And The Usage Of Arrival-departure Tracks

The train diagram is one of the basic operation plans of passenger dedicated lines. It prescribes the kinds of trains, routings and each arrival and departure time of the departure stations, intermediate stations and arrival stations in details. The train diagram of passenger dedicated lines together with motor train-sets scheduling and operation plan at stations constitute the main contents of transportation organization plan. They collectively accomplish operation organization tasks through cooperation and coordination. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the interaction between these three elements during the process of drawing the train diagram of passenger dedicated lines, in order to better realize the coordination among different transportation plans and improve the transportation service quality.Through the analysis of the relationship among the optimization of train diagram, using arrival-departure tracks and the multiple units turnover, which were closely tied to each other, the paper built the comprehensive optimization model of train diagram. Based on fixed order optimization, the model involved Hungarian Algorithm to acquire the plan of multiple units aiming at the minimal continuous time. The solution of conflicts for arrival-departure lines focuses on exchanging the order of arrival-departure trains while remaining the orders in the busy time period to avoid generating new conflicts. After the analysis of sample cases, the model together with the algorithm could efficiently combine the usage of arrival-departure lines and turnover of multiple units, realizing the integrated optimization of train diagram.
