As the automobile market competition is becoming increasingly fierce, consumers is getting more and more attention in the car ride comfort, ride comfort optimization design has become one of the most important research field of automobile development. Meanwhile, Along with the computer technology, the virtual test technology is playing an increasingly important role in improving quality of automobile and shortening the development cycle. Vehicle ride comfort research combined with the virtual test technology has great signature.In this paper, the single rhomboid electric car is taken as the research object. Using virtual test technology, virtual ride comfort test of the car is carried out, and the evaluation of the car’s ride comfort is made. Combined with MATLAB, a single rhomboid electric vehicle model with8degree of freedoms(DOFs) based on Lagrange is created, and the vehicle ride comfort is optimized by the NSGA-Ⅱ genetic algorithm. Pertinent works and conclusions are as follows:First, referring to the related literature at home and abroad and considering the actual structure of single rhomboid electric vehicle, the3D mathematical model of the car is simplified properly and the finite element models of the tires, suspension, and other parts of the car are established. On the basis of the tire rationality is verified by virtual experiment, the finite element model of the car is assembled. According to the requirement of random road and pulse road in the national standards, the B,C and pulse road model is established respectively. The road spectral density analysis results show that the spectral density curves of the random road model and the standard road is very close and the random road model can be utilized to replace the real road in the ride comfort research.Second, according to the ride comfort test standard, the ride comfort test of single rhomboid electric car is simulated and the car’s ride comfort is evaluated by1/3octave band acceleration root-mean-square value method. The evaluation result indicates that, the car’s ride comfort under random road condition needs to be improved.Third, On the basis of vehicle dynamics theory, an8DOFs model of the single rhomboid electric car is built and a simulation is carried on using MATLAB. The simulation result verifies the consistency of the theoretical model and the finite element model. Based on theory model, the car’s suspension stiffness and damping parameters are optimized to improve the car’s ride comfort.The research method in this paper provides a new way for the single rhomboid electric car’s ride comfort design. The simulation and optimization results offer theoretical basis for the design and production of the car, and provide reference for the ride comfort test in later stage.
