Unlike traditional prestressed composite slab, PK prestressed composite slab is a new composite floor structure including a precast prestressed concrete panel with a rectangular pre-holed rib. These prestressed inverted-T shaped panels were rested on the supports in a neat row with transverse reinforcement running through the preformed holes and with anti-crack reinforcement lying over the edge joints which were formed between two panels. Upon placement of the prefabricated panels and two types of reinforcement, the fresh concrete was poured on top of the panels and a two-way composite PK slab resulted. Due to its panel rib and the continuous transverse reinforcement, the slab has greater integrity and higher bearing capacity with lower costs, which apply it a sound future to common practice.Considerable efforts have been directed on the research of PK two-way composite slab or one-way slab with only prestressed reinforcement, while rare research has conducted on the other direction of the two-way composite. In this paper, its non-prestressed direction along the transverse reinforcement was studied as follow:(1) The loading mechanism of the unprestressed direction of PK composite slab was studied by static experiment of a one-way PK composite slab named PK-3spanning along transverse reinforcement with anti-crack reinforcement;(2) By contrast with the experimental result of PK-3and that of another composite slab without anti-crack reinforcement as well as that of a composite slab without edge joint existing in its precast panel, how the edge joint and anti-crack reinforcement worked in the composite slab was studied;(3) Through the further analysis of the P-f curve of component PK-3, practical formula concerning bearing capacity and rigidity of the unprestressed direction of PK prestressed composite slab was put forward;(4) The ratio of the stiffness of the prestressed direction to non-prestressed direction is derived by the comparative analysis of PK-3to a one way PK prestressed composite slab which is analyzed in previous experimental study.
