Aerodynamic characteristic is one of the most important vehicles (especially cars)performance parameters. It has an important impact for car’s power,economy,andhandling stability. A major factor affect these performances of vehicles are flow fieldaround the vehicle.This article through to combine the commercial computational fluid dynamics(CFD) CFX software and computer aided design software UG,use of CAD software’spowerful modeling capabilities for pre-design,then the CFD software for computersimulation and post-processing,to carry out a commercial vehicle computer simulationof flight field. The main work includes:1. Computer numerical solution provides such as the pneumatic pressure field,velocity field of the car and so on,and the pressure,the velocity distribution of thebody.2. According to the existing problems of analysis results,this paper will be basedon the basic theory of aerodynamic shape design,make certain modifications to thebody,and for different retrofit programs to make computer simulation. By comparingdifferent results of computer simulation to obtain the program of the minimumaerodynamic drag,so as to produce a reasonable implementation for commercial cardesign.The study of car’s aerodynamic shape design,which will help improve the car’spower,fuel economy and environmental protection; help improve the car’s safetyperformance; help improve engine cooling efficiency and improve indoor ridingcomfort,but also further reduce aerodynamic drag driving,reduce aerodynamic noiseand so on. It has a great significance to new product development,optimization of thecar.
