In recent years, the electric power and communication industries have been witnessing rapid development with the economic development. As the key and core component of the electric transmission and transformation equipment and communication network construction, the tower is in brisk demand. Currently, most enterprises running the tower industry are still detecting the tower components by manual operation. However, such manual operation will lead to very unfavorable effects on subsequent installation if something goes wrong, owing to its low effectiveness and frequent malfunctions, which will cost tremendous economic loss. Based on the present detection of tower components by the tower industry, an in-depth research is made on current development and growing trend of tower component detection, taking into account existing problems in tower component detection. The non-contact photoelectric detection, a new approach to detect tower components, is proposed to improve productive efficiency and save manpower cost, which makes possible the non-contact on-line tower component detection. The non-contact photoelectric detection tells whether or not sizes of components are standard through collecting pictures with CCD of tower components to be detected and then comparing such pictures with standard drawings by use of the controlling system. The tower component detector is a perfect substitution for manual detection in production and a realization of automatic detection for its proven technique and components. |
