Kinematic viscosity measurements is widely used in the petroleum、Chemical industry、 textile、medical and many other areas of national economy, it plays an important role in flow Control of production processes and the performance evaluation of end product. With the continuous development of Industrial modernization, the requirement in related fields of kinematic viscosity measurement is higher and higher, Traditional kinematic viscosity measurement technology has been difficult to meet the modern petroleum industry for the need of high precision of oil kinematic viscosity measurements demand in china. this paper presents a intelligent kinematic viscosity tester of petroleum products.The paper first introduces the status of viscosity measurement technology at home and abroad, that detailed describes the theoretical basis for kinematic viscosity measurements with capillary method,according to principle kinematic viscosity measurements with capillary method, which designs a automatic kinematic viscosity tester in the integration of temperature control, liquid level detection, viscosity calculation, printing reports. The intelligent kinematic viscosity tester of petroleum products uses AVR ATmega128MCU as the core of the control system for data processing. because the temperature is very important on the oil kinematic viscosity measurements, products tester uses fuzzy PID temperature control principle control the temperature of water bath, uses AT89s52MCU as the core, uses the PT100platinum resistance and use the optimization circuit as temperature sensor, combined with the semiconductor refrigeration piece TEC-12706to composed a temperature control system.It realizes rapid and accurate control water bath temperature. The traditional liquid level detection is achieved by using the human eye to determine the viscosity instrument scale line which is measured liquid flows through the concave surface, this paper uses infrared sensor instead of eyes to realize automatic detection of liquid level, that improves the precision of measurement and instrumentation automation degree. It uses VB make PC management software, the user can through man-machine interface for data management, query, modify, print and other corresponding operations.It can also be on tubing oil viscosity for real-time monitoring.The kinematic viscosity tester has the advantages of simple to use. fast measurement speed, high measurement precision, that has a high commercial value in domestic kinematic viscositv measurements.
