The Quality and center of gravity measurement system is a high-tech mass of light,electricity, machinery, computers and mechanics measurement techniques. It is used for thequality and CG automatically measurement and can provide the paramenters of quality andCG for follow-on CG adjusting quickly and accurately, therefore it is a important and basicequipment for the high precision and reliable missile. The present measurement theories andtechnics are discussed in this paper. At the same time, the diffucult problems in theorysuppose and practices are studied and analyzed. Finaly, the four orientations method,theodolite method and hang method basd on theodolite are submitted by combining traditionalmethod and new theodolite technology. New methods avoid the errors that are bringed fromsuppose and operatiom and improved the measurement precision, efficiency and automaticallevel. all in all, the topic of this study has important theoretical sense and engineering value.A list of research work was done as follows:1. With the extensive documentary reading of the updated material, the development andthe present situation of Quality and CG measurement were reviewed, as well as its applicationin the practical production. Besides, the research significance of the subject was alsodescribed in this paper.2. The results of different margin processing method to CG measurement are compared.Several tests were done and results show that the CG errors mostly induced by the axesabruption between product and equipment. Therefore, the two and four orientations methodare submited based on theodolite measurement, which can compensate the errors resulted inaxes abruption. New methods are used for key products and show high measurementprecision.3. The theodolite is used to measure the distance in space in place of ruler that inhancethe precision. The measurement process is writed and used for really product.4. Focus on series type products, the machine stucture and measure system are builtaccording to the theory of three-point method. At the same time the software frame and database are designed.5. the object-oriented visual programming language Delphi is emploied to complete theCG measurement software including two orientations module, four orientations module andhang method module and ultimately indirect measurement methods is used to study themeasurement system and study results show that systems with high overall accuracy.
