| Product semantics emphasis expect the functional extension meaning of the productsymbols, they also need have some cultural connotations,that is to value the influence onthe cultural, spiritual and psychological aspects of the user. Today the product formpresent"international"style increasingly. Product with the same model can not meet thedemand of customer for personalized and diversification. In this situation, one feasiblemethod to meet the consumer needs of both material and spiritual is bland the geographic,ethnic cultural into the expression of product symbolic semantics, which based on researchof product semantic theory, and also can play a role in promoting the spread of northernminorities culture. The main work is as follow:(1)Research the product semantics basic theory, to provide a theoretical basis for thefollow-up research work;(2)Analysis and research the feasibility of building product semantics and themethods under the backdrop of the geographical cultural to pave the way for the throughproduct semantics to reflect the culture of northern minorities;(3)Analysis the traditional folk culture such as dress, architecture, handicrafts ofrepresentatives of ethnic minorities in the north by Hoche and Oroqen, summarized itsintrinsic cultural value, extracted the symbols which can represent the ethnic cultural.(4)Summarized the principles and design procedures that shaping folk culturesemantic should follow,(5)Implement the product design about though the product semantic to reflect thecultural of ethnic minorities in northern by proposed the products semantic shaping methods,such as map, symbol, and metaphor. Results of the final design are three modern decorativelightings which used in the northern folk museum. |
