Progressive collapse is caused by the initial local failure in the componentbetween the spread of incremental expansion eventually led to the collapse of theentire structure. Due to the continuous collapse in many cases is not commensuratewith too large collapse, and this cause of incidents that appear too large, so thisphenomenon has been growing concern. It is noteworthy that,“design of concretestructures”(GB50010-2010) and“high-rise buildings of concrete structures technicalregulations”(JGJ3-2010), respectively using the length of one section describe thebasic principles and basic requirements as supplemented of against the progressivecollapse design. Shows that our resistance to progressive collapse will be morewidely used in the future construction projects. The purpose of this paper is to provide a reference for designers during theanti-progressive collapse design, in order to take in the future design process is botheffective and economic measures, to achieve resistance to progressive collapse ofbuildings. In this paper, the Midas Building software and the Midas/Gen software are usedto establish the seismic intensity of7degrees and8degrees of the two schools of RCframe structures teaching building. Elastic static analysis of midas building softwareand in the midas/gen software for nonlinear static pushdown analysis. The detailedcontents are as follows:(1) A simple list of several consecutive collapsed at home and abroadinstance which have a significant influence instance, details of the reasons that causethe progressive collapse of structure, introduces the domestic and intemationalresistance to progressive collapse of research results are discussed in detail the RCframe structures resistance to progressive collapse design factors to be considered.(2) Establishing two seismic intensity of7degrees and8degrees of RCframe structure classroom building in the Midas Building software, using linearstatic methods to determine the ability of the structure to resist-progressive collapseby removal of the corner posts, the short side of the column, the long side of the central column layer by layer and the underlying internal. And design the invalidbeams after removal of column by anti-progressive collapse, caluculated accordingto the structure of the existing norms of design need to increase steel consumption inorder to meet the requirements of anti-progressive collapse; also considering therebar in the floors and beam catenary mechanism ability of structure to resistprogressive collapse.(3) Establishing two seismic intensity of7degrees and8degrees of RCframe structure classroom building in the Midas/Gen software, using the verticalpushover analysis, ie, pushdown analysis, and obtained the plastic hinge formationprocess and the load factor-displacement curve of the seismic intensity of7degrees and8degrees designed two teaching building when removal of the bottom cornor posts, the shortside of the column, the long side of the central column and the internal column. Plastic hingeresults and the load factor-displacement curves are used to determine the ability of seismicintensity of the framework structure of anti-progressive collapse.
