The Landscape Design Research Of Water Revetment Area In Old Town Of Hefei

Waterfront Revetment Area (WRA) is a specific spatial area in waterfront. It refers to the land or the buildings on the boundary line of water and land. And it is generally interpreted as the fringe area of sea, lakes, rivers and other kinds of water areas. The WRA connects the aquatic ecosystem and terrestrial ecosystem closely and also works as the ecological corridor for the exchange of energy, substance and information. The waterfront ecosystem will be directly influenced by the ecological condition of WRA.Urban WRA could be created into a high quality social environment by providing the residents water-affinity leisure places, promotes the ecosystem circulation and improves the living condition, not merely meets the needs for human productive activities such as the flood control, shipping and irrigation.This paper chooses the WRA in Hefei old city as the main study object. These years, due to the quickly development of Hefei, the urban population grows rapidly and the ecological environment is deteriorating, which leads to the lack of effective management and regeneration in old city waterfront which can hardly meet the usage requirement for residents nowadays. Based on the analysis of relevant theoretical researches, this paper will focus on the comprehensive study of Hefei old city WRA landscape design with ecology, geography and other related theories. The following results might be achieved in this paper:1. Research reference of the WRA landscape in Hefei old city Make a systematic review of the domestic and abroad researches and development trends of the WRA; Analysis and summaries of the functions, classifications and design methods in different periods and regions.2. Application in the WRA landscape design On the basis of ecology and geography, build a framework of WRA elements system and theory; Apply the framework in WRA landscape design and fulfill it; Provide guidance and reference in WRA landscape design.3. Analysis and improvement measures on Ring Park in Hefei City On the basis of the current situation survey, analyze the WRA of Ring Park in Hefei City, propose improvement measures and relevant design methods by applying the theories and principles disserted above in respective plots.4. Proposed optimized suggestions in WRA, especially in Hefei old city.
