At present, comprehensive utilization of resources and environmental protection werestrivingly promoted by our country. According to incomplete statistics,more than30milliontons of slag were discharged each year. The accumulation of muck, not only consumes a largemount of manpower and financial resources, but also pollutes the environment, so the treatmentand recycling of waste materials is an important developing trend in these days.Blast-furnace slag which is an easy-to-melt mixture that is emitted by smelting pig iron fromthe blast furnace. The material is important and multi-purpose, which is consist of gangue,ash,lacquer solvent and impurities that insoluble by pig iron. The project about the scientific andvalidity application of the solid salvaged material, i.e. blast-furnace slag is becoming more andmore important in recent years。Recently, various studies which is on blast furnace slag of composition, basic physical andchemical properties were conducted by foreign scholars, the results of the studies is very ideal.But in China, blast furnace slag are insufficient at recycling rate, waste of resources and otherissues.This topic is use the blast furnace slag as main material to build foundation treatment.Undertake a large number of physical and mechanical tests on the blast furnace slag and claywhich are in different mixture ratio under the condition of mixed soil material. Analysis themechanical properties with the optimum water content of mixture ratio, to apply the foundationsfor the blast furnace slag in treatment of soft soil, In order to realize to make comprehensive useof the material in Geotechnical Engineering Research. At the same time it has better effect toapply the blast furnace slag fly ash in foundation treatment, the paper will also involve therelevant content. The study on composite foundation of the future will make some contributionto the development, At the same time, it has a very far-reaching significance in geotechnicalengineering theory and practice.In today’s world, circular economy is already one of the key development, is also animportant section to solve the serious environmental pollution. Through this subject which isabout the characteristics of blast furnace slag, it can be a new type of environmental protectionmaterial which is used to the building foundation processing. On one hand, it can solve theproblem of land resources greatly make a great contribution of urban construction environment,achieve the waste recycling purposes and promote the development of circular economy. On theother side, there are rich resources in china, and the blast furnace slag is also adequate, if blastfurnace slag can be effectively applied to the building construction, it will be a large advantagein the subsequent handling of soft soil foundation, and will bring great benefits to theconstruction of the motherland, provide a strong basis of the circular economy which is paidmore and more attention.
