With the development of technology, in order to capturing and tracking the remote target, we used TV tracking to achieve it. When searching for the different distances targets, we need a high resolution optical system that can track long distance. We used Zemax software to designing a30ratio zoom objective lens, which working distance from18km to3m.The resolution arriving at18km could distinguish the two objects of2m.With the character of long working distance and high resolution.The fifteen object lenses using the spherical surface.The focal length range of about9.8mm~283.7mm, the modulation transfer function MTF in801p/mm were greater than0.2.We used the fitting formula method to calculation the cam curve, given the fitting formula, drew the cam curve by the Matlab simulator tools.We used the method of the mechanical zoom positive compensation.The mechanical structure using of combination of gears and cam, the mechanical structure and easy to achieved.
