In recent years, with the rapid growth of China’s economy, the height andcomplexity of buildings are constantly increasing. Moreover, a growing number ofbuildings’height and complexity are beyond the specification limits. Form a varietyof height transfinite, flat irregular and vertical irregular transfinitestructures.Analyzing the reliability of transfinite structure under earthquake is ameaningful research topic.This paper reviews the Development of High-rise building, transfinitediscrimination method and the basic principles of performance-based seismicdesign and research methods.This article describes an overview of engineering example, discriminants theengineering transfinite situation, and the engineering performance-based seismicdesign method. Make performance objectives of the structure under frequentearthquake, Medium earthquake and rare earthquake.By using SATWE program and ETABS program, this paper elastic analysisand design engineering example under frequent earthquake. And add the calculationof time history analysis under frequent earthquakes. And ETABS program analysisthe stress of the floor. Check the seismic performance of structure under minorearthquakes.By modificating the program calculation parameters in SATWE program, thisarticle elastic analysis this engineering examples under Medium earthquake andun-yielding analysis this engineering examples under medium earthquake.According to calculate the maximum displacement,Judge whether the structureperformance arrived at the scheduled goal.By using Push-over program, this paper static elasto-plastic analysis theengineering example under rare earthquakes. Judge whether there are weak layerstructure and good ability to collapse. Judge the performance objectives under rareearthquakes whether meet the requirements.
