The Research Of Building Foundation Design Based On The VM Theory

In recent years the national economy growed fast, and the architecture industryalso obtained vigorous development. So the high building and the great spanconstruction emerged unceasingly, and it demanded the foundation be qualified onintensity, warping character and stability. Designing in construction of foundationwere very important to buildings safety. The cost and term under construction offoundation were significant to the whole project. A reasonable design could ensurethe safety and functions of buildings, and it also could save cost effectively. so howto choose the reasonable design were very important. The paper introduced valuemanagement theory into the foundation designing. It could consider many factorsand made conclusion rationally.This article introduces the concept of VM theory and basic principles, andintroducing the application in the construction and some analysis methods. Thethird chapter introduces a large-scale material storehouse as an example. Itcompares some familiar pile foundation type (the artificial diging pile, the drillingpile and the pre-stressed pile) and the two ways of press pile. Moreover, it proposesthe most superior plan of pile foundation. The fourth chapter introduces a highbuilding as an examper. First it select board-foundation and pile-foundation fromseveral commom foundations. I have studied the two designing from stability,long-term, cost and social aspects. In conclusion I choose the board-foundationwith ground treatment. In the process I apply the software of JCCAD and THSWAREfirmly. So the conclusion is more acceptable.We apply VM theory in the foundation designing usually, and it means that the VMtheory is more intensive use in the construction. I wish my research on VM theory canprovide some references for designer.
