Elevator as a vertical transport has become an integral part of the building.High-rise buildings generally contain many elevator, these elevators are underthe control of group control system. Especially at peak times, when a largenumber of passengers use elevator, the passenger take more time to waitelevator, and take more time to use elevator. Although small High-risebuilding installs hall operating panel and service floor indicator to resolve thissituation, but existing equipment’s compatibility is not good. If equipment isinstalled in the different building, its hardware and software generally need bemodified. The equipment displays less information, and it does not supportmultimedia.This article presents the overview of destination forecast system. Thisarticle describes the development of the system, the typical structure and thestatus of the system. The embedded platform technology can resolve theproblem of the traditional system. This article analyzes the communicationtechnology and main control technology in destination forecast system andthis article selects the communication technology and main controltechnology in destination forecast system. This article describes the advantage of the CAN communication technology in the destination forecast system.This article presents the destination forecast system based on embeddedplatform technology and CAN technology. The destination forecast systemdesigned by this article can be installed in the any building, and its softwareand hardware need not be modified. This article first analyzes the need of thesystem. This article briefly describes the structure of destination forecastsystem, the destination forecast system consists of the hall operating box, theservice floor indicator, elevator plate, wireless/wired LAN and the remoteserver. Hall operating box provides passengers with the platform of reservingelevator, especially during peak time, the hall operating box improve thetransport efficiency of the elevator, the hall operating box not only reducestime of waiting elevator but also reduces time of taking elevator. Service floorindicator decreases time of passenger finding correct elevator. The multimediaserver downloads multimedia information to hall operating box, The halloperating box is not only the platform of reserving elevator, but also theplatform of playing multimedia. This article describes the design of hardwareand software. Finally the article describes the testing of software andhardware in Destination Forecast System.
