Research On Ecological Design Thinking On Spatial Planning Of Chinese Traditional Villages

The five thousand years history of China, accumulated sufficient ecologicalexperience of disposing man and nature contradiction and sustaining harmoniousco-existence, and gradually formed ecological design thinking with Chinese culturalcharacteristics. From the perspective of ecological design thinking, the paperresearches on the entity spatial planning of traditional villages. It is an exploration ofscientific thinking in Chinese cultural genes, and also a probe into the essence ofspace of traditional villages. It is even a finding of the demand for space in thesubconscious of the Chinese. Only with the comprehension of the spatial formidentified and aspired by the Chinese, can we grasp the design methods for space ina good way, and create a cozy home with sustainable development for the Chinese.The main body of the paper is categorized into three layers. On macro layer, itstudies the systematic thinking reflected in the integral space of villages. It describesa series of fundamental ecological thinking with Yixue thinking as the main thinking,to display the villages’ spatial address selection method system of “checking out forgeography and Fengshui” and the integral spatial form planning system of “keepharmony with nature”. On medium layer, it studies the adaptive thinking of internalspatial planning of villages. It analyzes the guidance ecological thinking of concretespatial planning, and the construction method of complete ecological process of theinternal space of traditional villages (spatial range connection, multiple ecologicalfactor complexes and recyclable relations of ecological system). On micro layer, itfocuses on the detailed planning design of the spatial interface of traditional villages.Via interface ecologically friendly technology, aesthetics constitution methods, anddecoration details, it expounds the appropriate thinking contained.The way of thinking of the traditional villages in space planning, offers goodreference for contemporary urban space, particularly the construction of living space.In chapter five, with the train of thought from macro to micro, it explores thedevelopment role of sustainable residence with Chinese characteristics throughsummarizing and looking ahead.
