Salient-pole synchronous motor with brushless excitation has been widely applied inindustry production because of its advantages of changing grid power factor、large overloadability and good stability and so on.it consists of AC brushless synchronous excitationgenerator、rotating-rectifier and motor. since it adopts a new technology about brushlessexcitation,its reliability improves clearly,so it is used widely in some areas which has amore strict standard in safety,such as oil and chemical industry.The thesis firstly built up the mathematical model of salient-pole synchronous motorsin the a,b,c coordinates. And by linear coordinate transformation,using the standard valuesystem,the flux and voltage equation are listed. the state equation of salient-polesynchronous motor when speed is changing can be established with the motion equation ofrotor.According to knowledge of motor design,using the electromagnetic formula and Datacharts provided by the company,the thesis accomplish a feasible electromagnetic design,and make the design process to be a motor CAD software by using vc++Language.The asynchronous start process of synchronous motor has been discussed deeply.Based on the analysis and calculation about the start process in two different ways likestatic and dynamic analysis,we draw the starting current and starting torque curve,makethe simulation about the current、torque and speed of start process,and write thisdiscussion into the software.The motor’ operating characteristics are the most direct way to reflect its stableoperating conditions. In this paper,we analyze several major operating characteristics ofsynchronous motor,such as efficiency Characteristics、current characteristics、power factorcharacteristics and so on,the corresponding curves are also drawn. After reviewing thetheory of heat conduction,we analyze the heating process of stator windings and startingwindings, calculate their heating curves, and write this process into the CAD software.This software consists of three modules-the electromagnetic design of integrated module, asynchronous start simulation module and operating characteristic analysis module.The software interface is friendly. The output of the software can be visual, and handled.Moreover, According to the data of motor factory, the output data of this software hasreached the practical standard.
