Hydraulic excavators mainly has been applied to the earthworks mining jobs, its workingmechanism reliability is an important performance objective of the machine. The backhoemechanism is regarded as a wildly used working mechanism of which reliability has a directimpact on the performance of the machine.The paper created the working mechanism of somemodle hydraulic excavators,and studied the flexible body’s influence on the various workingcondition of hydraulic excavators’ working mechanism. the primary works in this paper arepresented as follows:1. Anylasing the typical working condition of the hydraulic excavators’ workingmechanism and describing the composition and working cycle of the workingmechanism;summarizing the design specification of the hydraulic excavators’ workingmechanism.2. Three-dimensional entity model of the hydraulic excavators’ working mechanism isconducted using UG, and the virtual prototype is also is conducted using ADAMS.3. Converting the boom into flexible body using data conversion interface betweenMCS.Patran and ADAMS and approaching the realistic situation.4. The model coupling rigid and flexible body is created to carry out kinematic analysisand compared the result with the kinematic analysis for rigid, studying the flexible boom’simpact on the movement of hydraulic excavators’ working mechanism.The results of this paper will contribute to the further research and designing of hydraulicexcavators’ working mechanism.
