The existence of the intersection increases flexibility and connectivity of the road traffic,and improves network traffic in urban road network.However, due to the intersection of a variety of vehicular and pedestrian flow staggered run, interfere with each other to greatly reduce its capacity, traffic behavior is more complex, and the intersection has become the road network bottlenecks and traffic jams source, resultingin local traffic congestion, even compared with the sections affect the smooth flow of the entire road network. Xi’an South Gate winding path has complex regional road conditions and a total of three trunk roads intersected, outside the south gate winding mountain path north intersected with South Street, south with Chang’an Road, east-west direction for the Ring Road on the eastern and western; In addition, with the northwest orientation Shoshi Temple northeast orientation of walking a street of the College Gate and South Gate inside the Shuncheng South eastern and western connected.Part of the road motor vehicles, motor vehicle and pedestrian Francis, as an important transit hub area, have a large pedestrian traffic volume. Because of its complex traffic characteristics, the traffic running state and entire walls of urban road traffic running state, whether through the optimization of traffic organization plan to improve the capacity of the region of the south gate winding mountain path, it will be the key to change the status quo of the regional traffic.In this paper, we make the detailed investigation of the Area of the walls of the south gate winding mountain path, the regional traffic organization based on road conditions of the region of South Gate winding mountain path, the investigation of the bus station, the intersection type analysis, the use of traffic organization and optimization theory, this regional conflict points and traffic studies, which is to give some of the recommendations for the optimization of the South Gate bending road traffic organization.The first chapter in this article is from the outline button collar. The main contents include the exposition of this study background and significance, and research status at home and abroad on the walls and roundabout systematic review and elaboration to introduce the goal of this study, research and technology roadmap. The second chapter is part of the study the basic t heory of method. we mainly elaborate on the design methods and theories of traffic organization, a clear optimization of traffic organization and principles of a theoretical basis for the lateranalysis. The third chapter is the core part of this study. This chapter explicitly detail on the Area of the walls of the south gate winding mountain path, and analyze its spatial characteristics and the traffic conflict situations, to provide the basis for the program of Chapter four. Chapter four introduces the Area of the walls of the south gate winding mountain path region memory problems, mainly organizational issues of non-motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic, public transport dock site layout and circuit problems as well as motor vehicle and non-motor vehicleconflicts from the requirements of the protection of cultural heritage; geographical environment; to reducing traffic conflict points; improving bus access to stations other traffic running;motor vehicle and non-motor vehicles, pedestrians separation; improving the road capacity inthis area; meeting the South Gate Square needs of the tourism and landscape requirements proposed transportation organizations optimization. The fifth chapter is the conclusions and outlook.
