AC contactor is a kind of automatically controlled low-voltage electrical appliances. Mainlyusing for frequent connect or break AC or DC current, it has a lot of control capacity, can switchcircuit for remote operation by main contact and carry out control instruction by auxiliarycontacts. It can achieve timing operation, interlock control and kinds of control, pressure loss andlow-voltage protection with relay. At present, for ac contactor research mainly focus on theanalysis and optimization of electromagnetism, electric heating and the motion mechanism,especially on the electromagnetism and electric heating in the analysis and optimization morepopular, and has more practical meaning also.In view of the the ac contactor with different auxiliary contacts, used experiment and thesimulation method to research static characteristics of ac contactor electromagnetic system inthis paper, and proceeded electromagnetic system optimization combine the reactioncharacteristics of ac contactor with different auxiliary contacts.First of all, used ANSYS software,for ac contactor, applied the three-dimensional finiteelement to get modeling and simulation. Calculated the static electromagnetic force of dynamiccore at rated-voltage, and researched the cooperation of the electromagnetic force and reaction.The paper calculated the static electromagnetic force, self-induction and magnetic flux indifferent air gap and different current.Secondly, electromagnetic force-reaction characteristics of contactor with differentauxiliary contacts were analyzed, and considering the constraints of coil temperature andelectromagnetic force–reaction matching at key positions, in older to mading the electromagneticforce–reaction characteristic achieve the best cooperate, saving more material, enhancing thestability, the contactor electromagnetic system was optimized.
