As the short of energy and the pollution of environment, traditional automobileindustries are faced with great challenge. Various new energy vehicles are studied and electricvehicle is regard as one of the important research directions. Electric vehicle which iscomposed of energy store equipment uses the motor to drive the vehicle. It could avoid oilshortages and environmental pollution, so EV has long term potential for future main streams.Supported by Shaanxi key scientific project ‘The Study of Pure Electric Test Vehicle’ andbased on LS6600C1medium-sized passenger vehicle, design the pure electric test vehicle.This paper introduces the character of the electric vehicle, and discusses several kinds ofconfiguration of electric vehicle. According to the demand of the performance, the parametersof power system include transmission, motor, batteries are matched.The electric motor model, driving battery model, vehicle model and other componentsmodel in driving train are built based on the ADVISOR software which is based on MATLAB.According to the shortage of ADVISOR which can’t be applied to the simulation of rear drivevehicle, through the detailed analysis of the vehicle module and the wheel/axle module, thispaper realized the establishment of rear drive vehicle simulation model on the basis of the reardrive vehicle dynamics model. Analyze the whole vehicle mode, motor model, battery model,transmission system model. Combined the electric car model with a simulation interfacebased on VC++, constant drive, acceleration ability, climbing performance, cruising range andcycle run are simulated. The results indicate that motive power performance can satisfy therequirement.The experiment of the whole vehicle performance was done. The results show that themaximal speed, acceleration and maximum climb grade meet the design demand.
