Since the80’s,there were more than20years high-speed development of the constructionof highway in our coutry.Now highway can satisfy the needs of the development of theeconomy. From the view of the existing situation of the Gansu Provincial Highway, highwaydevelopment is imbalance. Three, four small traffic Road Construction and Maintenance is aserious shortage of funds,which lead to the problem that rural roadway is not enough,lowlevel of technology and poor condition.Therefore,it is urgent necessary to determine theeconomic feasibility pavement materials of small and medium-sized transport.Project in Gansu Province by geographical conditions, climatic characteristics and thedistribution of a wide range of research gravel，get the oil for the cold climate in the HexiCorridor and the Gannan cold, wet climate with application areas。Qin Bashan with wet areas(Gansu South) crushed gravel aggregate wealth of features, expanded oil gravel pavementtechnology application areas.Project on the basis of adaptive research, according to working mechanism of the oilgravel, for the oil mixed with the gravel road test of binder, proposed oil slurry as a binderagent to improve the external doped low-temperature properties of asphalt mixture anddetermine the amount of slurry oil range. Typical oil-based structural design of gravel roads,completed different levels of road gravel road mix oil mix design. While with the constructionof pilot projects, proposed gravel road oil mixing equipment and technology, transportmixture, paving and compaction process, quality control and acceptance of quality standardsguide and successfully applied in the oil gravel road S313lines in construction projects.
