In our country, the city form that is a center with the big cities has appeared thetendency of regional and system networked. The deployment and implementation ofregional coordinated development strategy in our country makes traffic transportationproduce new influence on the development direction and the patterns. So, Clearinteraction and adaptation relationship between transportation and regionalcoordinated development do have a role with reference and support in making thetransportation resources rationally, promoting the coordinated development ofregional, narrowing the regional development gap, and realizing the regional andnational levels of sustainable development goals.This article through to conclude the existing research theory and method ontransportation and regional coordinated development, define the connotation of theregional coordinated development, put forward to three modes that transportationpromote regional coordinated development: to tend developed region, to tendundeveloped region and to tend to increase in the same pace in developed region andunderdeveloped region. Then, from two aspects of efficiency and fairness, points outthe effects and the specific implementation path of the transportation in promotingeconomic development and improving economic efficiency, and maintaining thebalanced development and guaranteeing social equity. On this basis, establish anevaluation index system, including transportation in the large-scale index structuralindex and layout index, social and economic efficiency and equity index, and give theevaluation model method system, including the sequence parameter extraction, thedegree of order calculation, adaptability evaluation, in order to value adaptabilitybetween transportation and regional coordination development. Finally, select Hebeiprovince as a case analysis object, on basis of description status on transportation andregional social economy development in Hebei, calculate the degree of order andanalyze the result of adaptability evaluation, in order to verify the feasibility andeffectiveness about the index system and model.
