The operation mode of traditional substation has been unable to adaptto the rapid development of the society now, therefore, China State GridCorp proposes the concepts of constructing unified strong smart grid·.As the important part and key node, intelligent substation becomethoroughly while the construction and application go deeply, so it·s moreurgent to summary and prospect the engineering application of intelligentsubstation.The key technologies of intelligent substation are briefly introducedin this paper. Combined with the experiences in debugging the first220kV intelligent substation in Shanghai region, the author discusses theequipment modeling and configuration, network optimization, all-opticalelectronic transformer application debugging and other key technologiesof the intelligent substation. Meanwhile the author introduces theequipment-maintaining software which is applied in Luding intelligentsubstation. The following chapters are included in this article:Compared with intelligent substation, the first chapter expounds thecurrent situations and shortcomings of traditional substation in Shanghai,considering the transformer, automation systems and other parts. Laterthe author gives the definition and discusses the advantages of theintelligent substation, as well as the developing direction in the future.Several key technologies of intelligent substation are introduced inthe second chapter, which are different from the traditional substation.These technologies lay the foundation for transforming Luding intelligentsubstation, and derive technological innovation and technologicalhighland from the development of more intelligent substation.In the third chapter, the author detailedly introduces two sensingtechnology, new-type transformer used in intelligent substation, as well asthe application and debugging process in Luding transformation. Also the author discusses the data sampling synchronization and analyses theproblems encountered in engineering.In the fourth chapter, IEC61850protocol core technology using in thenetwork application are introduced. According to the network structure,message analysis and other related content in Luding transformation, theauthor put forward feasible network division and message control toengineering.In the fifth chapter, the author takes Luding intelligent substation assamples to establish the configuration and to do modeling analysisfurtherly, while using SCL language to build SCD all-station structure.Then the author take rebuilding project as samples to point out the partsand deficiencies which should be urgently improved. While themaintenance software assists front-line staff in completing the intelligentsubstation configuration, it also provides a convenient way totransforming, operating and maintaining in the future.The sixth chapter concludes the whole Luding transformation projectand gives the prospect of intelligent substation in the future, mentioningthe new emerging technologies. Internet application, sequence controltechnology and new debugging equipment will for sure, take lead role inconstructing smart grid·.
