With the growth of life rhythm and work pressure, cardiovasculardisease, represented by coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction, has become a major threat to human health. As an important basis fordiagnosis of cardiovascular disease, Electrocardiograph (ECG) plays amore and more significant role in the clinical diagnosis field. At the sametime, as an important part of human vital signs, ECG plays an extremelyimportant role in the field of patient monitoring and personal home care. There are two kinds of ECG monitors:(1) traditional12-lead tapeECG for diagnosis,(2) real-time ECG monitoring instruments for intensivecare. Both of them have their own weaknesses and are not suitable forregular wards in hospitals and personal home care. The traditional12-leadECG machine is bulky and cumbersome to operate. Real-time instrumentsfor intensive care are expensive and, at the same time the volume isrelatively large. With the continuous progress of wireless transmission technology, wireless ECG equipments attract more and more attentions in recent years. But wireless technology for real-time ECG monitoring now is eitherexpensive or difficult to implement.Based on the current development status, this paper designed alow-power, low-cost and real-time wireless ECG monitoring system. Thesystem consists of the ECG analog amplifier module, ECG acquisitionmodule, and wireless transmission module. Under the premise of accurateECG detection, the entire system uses low-cost and low-power program. Itcan be used as real-time ECG acquisition in general wards of hospitals. The thesis describes relative technologies and entire design programof the real-time wireless ECG monitoring system. The system consists ofthe ECG amplifier module, signal acquisition and digital processingmodule, wireless transmission module and PC software processing module. When the system works, the electrodes pick up ECG signals and send tothe amplifier module. After amplification, filtering and other processing, the acquisition and digital processing module samples the signal with theA/D converter of STM32and does some digital processing. Then thewireless module sends the data into the wireless networks. Monitoringstation of the network transmits the data to PC via the serial port. The PCprocesses the data further and displays it on the screen. Finally, the article tests the real-time wireless ECG monitoring system. The system can acquire human’s ECG signal correctly. Coordinate with theQRS complex wave detection algorithm, the system could monitorpatients’ ECG and will alarm at dangerous situations. Experiments provethat the system reaches the intended purpose.
