With the development of large-scale container ship, the loading and unloading and horizontal transportation is also developing rapidly in the container terminal. Container terminal handling machinery from the original general bridge crane into the container bridge crane, from single spreader into double20feet spreader, double40feet spreader; The truck also by large trailer into the container straddle carriers, and higher intelligent automatic guide vehicle. Science and technology and intelligent computer have developed rapidly at present, although relying exclusively on increase investment in equipment can improve the container handling speed, but obviously it is not the most economic method. Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore and other modern port has developed to a high level in the container terminal management, but it is not so high in China. In developed foreign country they can handle more TEU in the same mechanical level port the operation ability than China’s port. It is a worth thinking about the important problem for us port managers and scholar.In the container terminal, the ship handling efficiency, ship yard plan, equipment scientific distribution and business process optimization are mainly ways that improve work efficiency. The container truck scheduling can make terminal operation efficiently. So how to maximum improve port truck operation efficiency become a problem in container terminal. With the wireless system and GPS in port and transport in the promotion and utilization, if we can analysis port all available handling truck distance and task real-time to give the truck reasonable order, we can assign all truck a sharing of resources legitimately, and we can reduce transport distance and energy consumption.In this paper, through to container terminal operation practice and research, in the principle of all handling truck working for all bridge crane, we set up for all loading and unloading operation task truck scheduling optimization model, and use the corresponding mathematical algorithm. Data show that the new truck scheduling mode of operation more effective and optimization model and algorithm is more reasonable. It can improve the container terminal truck operation efficiency.
