This paper studies the process control communication which based on OPC server software developed key technologies and basic methods. Through the study of the COM component object with the interface and the OPC data access specification of the relevant technology, after holding the component object model and the OPC interface protocol technology, proposed the process control communication system design based on OPC server software. This paper discusses the network structure used in DCS system and communication server configuration and performance requirements, on the platform process control based on OPC communications server software design. Particularly explain the details of the communication server software architecture, software interfaces, module implementation and the Statute of the software’s features. To achieve the communication server software, with functional and flexible, this can be connected to support many different types of equipment communication protocols, compatible with any of the characteristics of different devices or systems.
