High-speed railways are developing towards high density, high-speed direction. at the same time, it is developing towards the direction of comfort. With the continuous innovation and the use of railway technology, China’s high-speed railway traffic has been booming, while passengers’requirements of seat comfort are increasing. In the ergonomic environment system, seats are the most important elements that affect the ride comfort. How to improve ride comfort and design the train seats which accord with the ergonomic requirements is a very important task.Seats should be designed to relax the passengers as far as possible in the physiological spine position, maintaining the normal physiological bent. Meanwhile, muscles of the passengers are in a relaxed state, and flexion and compression should be beneficial to normal blood circulation. In addition, the seats of the dynamic characteristics of trains should match other damping system to make human body more comfortable.The design is about seat ride comfort of high-speed train based on the Integrated Design Theory. The main contents of the Integrated Design Theory contain Function Optimization Design, Dynamic Optimization Design, Intelligent Optimization Design and Visual Optimization Design. So, it also be known as the Four Optimization Design Method or Features and Performance-oriented Products Integrated Design, as well as1+3+X Design.1means Function Optimization Design.3means other three Optimization Designs which combine and complement each other. X means special requirements on the design method. This paper focuses on static and dynamic comfort of train seats, and its main contents are:The research on the dynamic comfort of seats. It mainly refers to the vibration which would be passed to human body during the running process of trains. The paper makes a static and deflection modal analysis to make the design of the seats with the right deflection and natural frequency within the Beijing-Shanghai Railway environment, thus ensuring the comfort of seats. Meanwhile, the paper has calculated the modal analysis to determine the physical parameters of seat vibration system, and provide a theoretical basis for the seat design on the multi-degree human-seat system model.The research on the seat of the static comfort. It mainly refers to the human physiological uncomfortableness of the seat caused by the different structural parameters. This paper provides a strong theoretical support for the research of seat static comfort factors and makes design principles. On the basis of the backrest and cushion design of seats, the paper optimizes the structure curves of them to make seats accord with the requirements of ergonomics and more comfortable. At last, it provides reference for the comfort design of seats of bullet train.
