Recently, a lot of enterprises who produce gas flowmeter increase in China, the product must be measured and tested to guarantee the quality and accuracy before they are sold or used. To measured and tested the vortex flowmeter, bell prover gas calibration facility has taken a significant status. In this paper, based on the bell prover gas calibration facility, it designed vortex flowmeter verification system which has taken use of the automation instrumentation technology, electronics and computer technology. In this subject, if has finished the experimental products forming which works normally through commissioning and operation, and it can test the vortex flowmeter. The content in this paper is as follows:In chapter one, the thesis introduces the meaning of flux measuring and highlights of today’s gas flow verification device development status and introduces the content of the thesis.In chapter two, from system development point of view of the verification system to study the bell prover gas calibration facility, principles and theoretical basis and give a brief description of the vortex flowmeter characteristics and test and calibration methods.In chapter three, the thesis introduces the system’s overall composition and PC system and lower computer program.In chapter four, the thesis introduces the lower computer hardware system’s circuit design and program code.In chapter five, the thesis introduces the Modbus communication protocol design, including defined frame format, defined register, programming code and finishing the communication’s maintentance.In chapter six, the thesis introduces the VC++6.0development environment, and takes use of the MFC to finished the design of PC system.In chapter seven, this thesis analyses and calculates data results of the verification system, included pulse way and current way, at the same time it elaborate the method of standard flowmeter comparison which has been proposed in this paper, and has fixed this system for using metrology institute in Liaoning province.In chapter eight, the thesis summarizes the total thesis and introduces some theories that need more researches.
