Now the world’s shortage of energy supplying and the pollution of environmentbecome more and more serious. However wind energy, because of its huge reservesand will not cause pollution to the environment, also it is renewable energy, isbecoming highly developed energy currently among all kinds of new energy. Moreand more countries all over the world are focusing on it and striving to develop it.Theresearch of monitoring systems for wind turbine is hot nowadays and the study ofwind power technology must be based on a user-friendly, powerful, reliablemonitoring system.Getting the help of Wind power Laboratory of our school, this paper mainly fordesigning the monitoring system of wind power converter depending on demand ofexperimental platform monitoring system for the wind turbine-permanent magnetsynchronous motor. The monitoring system is mainly designing for the motor dataacquisition. This paper describes the selection of hardware under the crew involved inthe data collection system and communication interface options. The main choice ofhardware is high-performance chip DSP2808, the corresponding configuration of PC,communication ports are RS232and RS485. In the PC design software selection,using the VB6.0because of its easy to develop and operate. Using the serialcommunication control of VB6.0and VB6.0’s management for Access databasedevelop the PC monitoring and controlling system, the system uses modules idea toprogramming, has permission to log on and can monitor the motor speed, frequency,temperature and other data.Also can watch the corresponding data waveform, achievedata storage, recording to the parameters and other functions. The article also detailsthe Modbus communication protocol applicated in the wind power converter controlsystem, describes the communication system software design approach using CRC,and effectively ensure the reliability of communication. The system has a practical,portable and other good features,it provides good protection for the experimental andstudy of wind turbine.
