The asphalt pavement is the banded structure to bear the load on the roadbed, Itis affected by climatic factors. And it is an important part in highway construction.Asphalt pavement has sufficient mechanical strength to withstand the loads ofvehicles, It have driving comfort, smooth, no dust, lowly vibration and noise, and hasbeen widely used in high-grade road surface. With the development of national economy, the amount of traffic the rapidincrease in large vehicles, overloaded, channels such as a growing problem, put ahigher demand on the asphalt pavement. Asphalt pavement structure combinations, asphalt pavement design and construction technology have been researched toimprove the performance of asphalt pavement. According to a large number ofpractical engineering experience shows: pavement condition, pavement structuredesign, material selection, construction technology affect the performance of asphaltpavement seriously. This study combines the G111Nen river-Jiagedaqi highway engineering practice, the goal of this paper is focusing on the asphalt mixture design which directly servicefor pavement construction. This research provide an important reference in pavementconstruction for Jiagedaqi pavement construction projects. In this paper, the followingstudies based on have been carried out.(1) The performance tests have been carried out of road construction materialsusing in this project. the aggregate gradations were determined by the programmingmethod.(2) The mixs designing of AC-16graded were determined with Marshall method.Optimum asphalt contents of the mixs were determined and verified by testresults. The results of tests show that which performance indicators to meet thehigh-grade road.(3) The hopper of the mixing plant was calibrated, and the design mixs were adjusted todetermine the production mix, the optimum asphalt contents of theproduction mix were determined with the floating asphalt content. A pavementperformance comparative analysis was made between the design mixs and theproduction mix.
