AMT transmission is a simple, reliable and low cost automatic transmission on the automobile for many years, but mainly using for cars. Gearshift control and clutch control are the most important parts for the AMT system control logic, and which makes a decision on the performance of drivability and durability in AMT system. The Author is engaged in development of control system. The main process is modeling the control logic, then generating to software code that flash to TCU controller. The TCU collect signals such as position and speed, use these signals calculate output value by control logic to operate gearshift and clutch actuators.1. Research purposeControl logic needs to be verified many times in order to finding logic problem to the maximum extent and reducing the error in logic to guarantee driving safety According to the widely used development flow of control system based on modeling—’V&V flow, the verification and validation of control system needs model-in-the-loop test. The paper will research the verification of AMT shifting logic on this test.2. The main research contents and achievementFirstly, the paper introduced the AMT transmission principle and the development trend of AMT system, which from the automobile driveline system began to describe, and development process from manual transmission to AMT transmission. Then, it introduces the general situation of the development of AMT. Describe the modeling and simulation research of the current situation and development trend, which from some research achievement of physical simulation modeling, to the simulation and modeling software currently used. Secondly, detailed analysis of the AMT basic types and structure, through the analysis of the powertrain kinematics characteristics, the gearshift movement and target transmission structure, build the simplified transmission model; analysis and research of the synchronizer structure and work process, obtains the mathematical model of the synchronizer, as the basis of modeling.Thirdly, according to the above analysis and research as well as the mathematical model, build the transmission, synchronizing performance, gearshift actuator and solenoid simulation model. These models based on the actual data of the target transmission.Finally, run the simulation, analysis of the test results, through detailed analysis, to fine the parameters need to adjust and optimization.3. SummaryThe paper is focus on the physical modeling, analysis and optimization of simulation result for transmission and AMT gearshift actuator. In order to ensure the accuracy of the simulation model, one side depend on the based mathematical model, which should according to the physical structure, parameters and the characteristics; the other side do more tests, analysis the result of simulation and optimization.After research, master the basic method of simulation model, and build the transmission and gearshift actuator model. Besides that, the simulation result and actual transmission and actuator are nearly same, which can be verified in AMT control logic. Therefore, it is feasible and effective for verification method of AMT gearshift control strategy. The research supplies same reference in AMT control system development.
