As the regeneration process of MEA solution need consume much energy, the thennal efficacy drop of unit is much if its steam extraction is used for heating MEA solution in carbon capture system. Therefore, looking for other heat sources is one of ways which can reduce the cost of carbon capture in thermal power plant. The waste heat of turbine exhaust steam can be used based upon heat pump technology, and it can reduce the carbon capture cost. In order to compare actuation energy consumption of the compression heat pump and the absorption, this article consumes that the power consumption is equivalent to heat consumption. The result is obtained through computation that two forms steam consumption difference is different for different steam extraction. Along with the temperature of steam extraction dropping, the equivalent steam quantity increases gradually for the compression heat pump and the change is bigger than the absorption heat pump under the same heat consumption. However, the quantity of steam extraction for the absorption heat pump has the same change tendency with the temperature of steam extraction dropping, but the change is smaller.Through comparing the thermal efficiency of the unit installed advanced carbon seizure device and the unit installed, the conclusion which is got by simulation indicates the thermal efficiency of unit installed advanced carbon seizure device is improved visibly. For the advanced carbon capture system, the steam extraction consumption is317.04t/h when the carbon capture rate is90%, and the thennal efficiency drops7.35%, enhancing5.41%compared to the traditional method. The feasibility of transformation plan is analyzed according to the technical appraisal system of industrial project and the conclusion shows the investment recoupment period of this innovation project will lenghthen gradually when the carbon capture rate increases, and the speed of change becomes big. When carbon capture rate is90%the cost of project investment can be taken back after3.43years.
