Along with the "three set five" development strategy promoted in the nationwide, the whole of the state grid’s security problem increasingly. We analyse the problems such as the power system’s planning, power grid scheduling and expected accident analysis depended on the simulation calculation. But it is unrealistic to test in actual system frequently. Generator and load model are the most important parts in the power system. The models’complexity will be directly related to the accuracy of the simulation results. The Wide Area Measurement System can provide more real-time data to parameters identification, and improve the precision and accuracy of analysis results, further improve the power grid’s safety and efficiency. This paper work as follows:(1) The title introduces the model of synchronous generator, presents the practical fifth order model of synchronous generator, and gives the utility model’s derivation process of the Park model. In the view of load modeling method is feasible, analyse the parameters of static and dynamic load model, describe the third order induction motor parallel ZIP model of comprehensive load model.(2) Based on the theory of WAMS system, PMU device and the characteristics of synchronous phasor information, design the process that determining the initial value and parameters identification of synchronous generator model and load model. By using the MATLAB advice the programming of parameters identification based on improved genetic algorithm, give the needed data pretreatment method when the PMU provides the measured data for identification. Introduce the specific(3) Analyze the actual process of the WAMS primary station getting the PMU data, as an example of south grid of hebei WAMS primary station, and gives the method to extract and read the PMU data.(4)Using the MATLAB’s Simulink to construct the simulation system. Analysis of the factors affect accuracy of identification synchronous generator excitation disturbance factors are the size of the initial value and the setting of the range.(5)Set machine36node system in PSASP.70%of the whole system load adopt dynamic load model,30%use ZIP334model. Do the fault simulation with the dynamic system, prove the validity of the comprehensive load model.This title concludes the work, the generator and load model parameter identification based on the wide-area measurement system of can get the higher accuracy, further improve the operation of the power system simulation accuracy.
