Since solar and wind energy in time and geography are highly complementary, wind and solar power generation system is an important form of the renewable energy independent power supply system. Wind power output independent power systems make more reliable and stable, and its economic and technical performance is better than a single wind power or solar power system.This study is independent of wind and solar power generation system. With the relevant literature, this paper analyzes the work principle of wind turbines and solar cell and the system architecture of the wind power generation. According to the matching relationship between the wind energy, the solar energy, power generation and the energy storage system, we obtained the objective function of the system, and established the mathematical model of the photovoltaic array and wind power generating capacity. In this paper, by the use of the MATLAB/Simulink, we have established the system simulation model. By analyzing the examples, we determined the optimal system design. To ensure supply reliability at the same time, the system can not only meet the long-term needs of the user’s load, but also has the best economy.
