Currently, energy shortages and environmental issues have become the key to social development.Energy conservation, reducing costs, increasing economic efficiency, and improving energy efficiency, have a positive significance on business and society.Under the trend in saving energy and improving energy efficiency, in this paper, it conducted a study on the actual operation of three300WM coal-fired units in Zhongfu power company. According to the theoretical basis, it made the quantitative analysis about the equipment and operating factors affecting on the boiler thermal efficiency, turbine efficiency and heat energy consumption. Based on the thermal test, it analysed and established calculation models of boiler thermal efficiency, testing heat consumption, testing coal consumption for power generation and testing coal consumption for power supply, and assess the energy consumption level according to the unit’s experimental data. Based on the energy saving diagnostic method, using the unit design parameters or testing parameters as benchmark value, it conducted the in-depth analysis about the energy consumption level of unit actual operation. Influencing factors on the boiler efficiency were made the quantitative analysis, as waste heat loss and mechanical incomplete combustion heat loss etc. Influencing factors on the steam turbine efficiency were made the quantitative analysis, as turbine cylinder efficiency and the back pressure etc. Influencing factors on the unit energy consumption were made the quantitative analysis, as attemperating water, amount of system refrigerant leak, terminal temperature difference of heater and feed-water temperature etc. it quantificationlly analysed the affection of auxiliary equipment operating conditions on the power consumption rate, and the affection of unit operating parameters on the energy consumption.According to the quantitative analysis results of unit energy consumption, we presented a series of optimized rehabilitation programs of air preheater, economizer, furnace combustion zone and milling system. We suppose adopting new vapor seal and steam distribution optimization methods to improve the turbine efficiency.We proceed the optimized rehabilitation such as the high and low pressure bypass, seal for the steam, the hydrophobic control, sewage control, the heater emergency drain and the feed pump minimum flow control to regulate and reduce refrigerant losses.we optimized the modification of the feed pump drive, circulating water control, boiler auxiliary adjustment methods to reduce power consumption rate and improve unit economics.
