Due to its remarkable energy saving and environmental protection advantage andmature gradually technology, Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) is thought to one of themost industrialization meaning in the auto industry of new energy vehicles. The HEV hasbecome the Hotpoint in various countries’ car industry research and development, and thekey to the technology of HEV is one of power battery technology. As an importantcomponent of HEV, power battery to the matching of HEV performance and fuel hasgreater influence in Dynamics and economics.And, the bigger parameter of the capacity,specific power, stronger would be the stored value capacity of the HEV energy, andgreater would be the pure electric trip mileage. But at the same time, the greater choice ofthe parameters would make power battery quality increases, and then lead to the declineof the vehicle’s dynamic performance and the increase of the cost. So HEV power batteryvehicle research has very important significance in improving the matching optimizationvehicle dynamic performance and reducing the cost.Firstly, based on the analysis of HEV operation conditions, this article analyzed themain effect factors for matching HEV power batteries,such as the driving cycle, vehiclecontrol strategy, shift strategy, transmission system parameters, power componentsefficiency, and the weight and cost of power battery. And the driving cycle pocess thelargest effect. Based on these factors, a new matching calculating method which is basedon the actual road driving condition is presented.Secondly, in order to verify the feasibility of the method, the working conditions ofECE+EUDC conditions and UDDS is selected from a car to simulate a mild hybridelectric vehicle traveling road characteristics,the car is converted into ISG mild hybridvehicles.Useing traditional method and the method of powerful battery matching which isbased on driving conditions of hybrid vehicle respectively in each condition to calculatethe battery"s matching number of the converted car.Considering all characteristicindicator of HEV power battery and price of other factor in the market specific powerwas selected to compare.Based on the simulation model, Honda Insight car, a simulation model of our hybridcar is built in software ADVISOR. We obtained the modified simulation model byamending its M files for secondary development. With the engine characteristics, fuel efficiency and emissions as evaluation index, we analysised and contrasted the twodifferent kinds of cars, that one use of traditional methods to match power-battery andanother based on the running condition to match power-battery. The results show that theengine-working characteristic of modified vehicle, based on driving condition to matchpower-battery, works more beautiful. The economy of vehicle fuel got obvious improved,emissions index is relatively lower, it shows that the matching method based on runningcondition is more reasonable and it’s better to provide power battery for the prototype.Also, in order to prove the practical applicability of this method, the experiment isdesigned and a fuel consumption real-time monitoring system for HEV is developed.In the last, this paper provided the matching software based on the HEVpower-battery vehicle in MATLAB/GUI environment, users can choose the vehiclemodels builted-in database to proceed power-battery matching, also can set parametersaccording to needs, which greatly improved the effect and speed of HEV power batteryvehicle.
