In Xiangxi traditional commercial street, enriched the local history and culture,economy and other aspects of the development of history. With the development ofeconomy, people pay more and more attention to draw lessons from history to solvethe current problems. In parts of Xiangxi, the traditional commercial street statusmore problems, such as building appearance is messy; traditional commercial streetfunction variation; image disappear and workplace standards. There is in traffic as thedominant idea under the influence of traditional commercial street, the traffic functiontoo prominent, make city commercial focus of traditional commercial street has beendestroyed. The neglect of the city itself should make people pay attention to thehistory and cultural factors. Therefore, the traditional commercial street as the city’smain public space charm and vitality is gradually disappearing, city public places andtherefore also become depressed, dull. Fully aware of the importance of the traditionalbusiness street space environment, discuss with good morphology and function, andhave distinctive local culture characteristics of the commercial street spaceenvironment, has become a topic of common concern of the people present.This article take the Xiangxi area traditional business street space environment asthe research object, with the domestic and foreign related commercial street spacetheory and practice as the research basis, review the development course of evolution,through the concrete investigation and analysis, summarized in Xiangxi traditionalbusiness street space environment at this stage of the existence problem and reason,finally in the domestic and international business street under the guidance of theoriesand practice, for the Xiangxi region of traditional business street space environmentputs forward some correspond to the area of the actual situation measures.The full text divides into five chapters: the first chapter is the introduction,mainly introduces the research background and the significance, the basic concept, theinterpretation of the scope and content of study, research methodology and framework,this is the present paper research starting point and direction. The second chapter,introduced the domestic and foreign traditional business street space environment ofXiangxi area, the traditional business street space environment are analyzed, and thepresent problems were analysed inductively, analysed area of Xiangxi traditionalcommercial street development and evolution and spatial factors. The third chapter separately from the space perception and principle, the spirit of place, environmentalbehavior and city image theory perspective on the traditional business street spaceenvironment are analyzed, as the back of the theory on the basis of. The fourth chapter,respectively, to Xiangxi area of traditional business street space interface, morphology,spatial sequence, proportion and scale, street pieces and folk custom cultureundertook comprehensive analysis. The fifth chapter, through the research above, theXiangxi area of the traditional business street space environment this paper putsforward some suggestions, first, to establish a good values; second, to protect thetraditional commercial Street Historic; third, to maintain a traditional functioncontinuation; fourth, have rich and colorful folk cultural activities.
