Power dump truck and other special vehicles are mostly driven by electric drivemode. The core issue of electric drive control system is the power drive matching ofthe engine and electric motor.This article based on the principle of finite element, useAnsoft software, Matlab software and combination with Simplorer software on thirdharmonic excitation synchronous generator system when no-load and load theelectromagnetic field joint simulations and in-depth analysis.This research method ofthird harmonic excitation system provides a new way of thinking, but also for thethird harmonic excitation generator design and research provides a solid theoreticalfoundation.This paper introduces application and research of the large mining trucks andpower transmission, introduces the electric wheel dump truck diesel electric drivesystem that is driven synchronous generator with DC motor load and controlperformance of the basic principles, presents the source of this paper esearch topicand the core content.Second, this paper introduces electromagnetic load design of the third harmonicexcitation synchronous generator, including structural design of rotor, winding designof stator, design of harmonic winding, gives Ansoft/Maxwell2D software analysisand prototype flow chart basic data of the harmonic generator. Using the graphicaluser interface mode and command mode of Ansoft/Maxwell2D software, buildingharmonic excitation synchronous generator model, loading, solution and postprocessing. Finite element analysis software analyses its magnetic field, checkingdesign calculations of electromagnetic, and verifying the validity and accuracy ofmagnetic calculations.Then, introduced the DC motor induced electromotive force and theelectromagnetic torque; discusses the three excited DC motor speed control methods:series resistance of the armature circuit speed, lower speed and reduced supply flux;introduced the nature of speed and load matching means.Finally, introduces the basic principles of the electric wheel dump truck electricdrive system. Excitation control design method of harmonic excitation generatorsystem are given. The coupling simulation technique of DC Motors is introduced, andelectromagnetic field of harmonic excitation characteristics of synchronousgenerator is analysed. Combination with Simulink and Maxwell2D software under the Simplorer software on the harmonic excitation synchronous generator with apurely resistive load and DC motor co-simulation of control performance.
