China is a fishery power, and the number of fishing vessels is about a quarter of the total of the entire world’s fishing vessels, but most of them is the steel and wooden fishing vessel with energy consumption. In recent years, the Ministry of Agriculture strongly advocated the fishing vessel energy saving, and FRP fishing vessel with fast speed, good stability, more energy efficient, more environmentally friendly and other advantages. So large quantities of standardization FRP fishing vessel designed and built to replace the existing steel and wooden fishing vessel is the inevitable trend.The subdivision of the main hull is the key aspects of the general arrangement of the ship design, whether subdivision is reasonable directly related to the stability of the ship and anti-sinking, which have a direct impact on the safety of the vessel. Subdivision design is a creative work, and the process of the subdivision needs to be constantly revised, and gradually improve the program design, before the advent of the method of parametric design, subdivision mostly rely on manual adjustments based on the parent ship, and then calculate to check. The process is cumbersome and complex, and is lack of innovation. However parametric design just makes up for these disadvantages, especially for subdivision of high-volume, standardized built FRP fishing vessel, parameterized subdivision is undoubtedly the best choice.Based on parametric design method, this paper studied the feasibility of applying the parametric design method to the design process of subdivision of FRP fishing vessel; the main contents include the following:Firstly, studied parametric design theory, compared several methods of parametric design, and described the advantages of parametric design as well as its significance for fast subdivision of FRP fishing vessel.Secondly, through the analysis and summary of21.3m and32.98m FRP fishing vessel subdivision rule, the layout regularity of each bulkhead and the ratio of shared space,choose the subdivision design parameters of FRP fishing vessel to achieve the bulkhead positional parameterization.Thirdly, set up the tank capacity, the geometry and specification constraints of subdivision, including the tank capacity, geometry and specification constraints, summed up the tank capacity constraint formula and bulkhead positional requirement of specification, then achieve the geometric constraint by programing. Fourthly, developed the data interface with COMPASS software taking use of the Visual Basic6.0and Microsoft Access database, which simplify the process of establishing a model of the hull and subdivision, and to be able to modify the cabin data in real time.Fifthly, the parameterized subdivision design system for FRP fishing vessel was built. To a certain extent, using the system can perform the Man-machine interaction design of FRP fishing vessel subdivision. Accroding to the design specifications, designers could query the tank capacity information and the system would give some advice how to adjust bulkhead parameters, then generate several feasible subdivision schemes by the tank capacity and stability checking, finally choose the optimal subdivision scheme by setting out the maximum amount of fish as evaluation.Sixthly, utilize the Visual Basic6.0of AutoCAD secondary development, and output subdivision drawings of the optimal solution.The parameterized subdivision design system for FRP fishing vessel in this paper simplified the subdivision process which continuously modified, greatly improved the efficiency of the subdivision design, achieved fast subdivision, and provide theoretical and technical support for FRP fishing vessels’ serialization and standardization of design and construction.
