Development Of An Automatic Packaging Machine For2m Wood Plank

In recent years, Packaging machinery has a wide development in China. But there are few automatic packaging equipments for furniture and building materials industry because of the unbalanced industrial structure. The traditional way to package products is artificial, which has different (bad) packaging quality and low inefficient in mass production process. For long timber plank, it often requires at least two people to complete the carton packaging, which wastes of human resources seriously. Under this case, an automatic wood plank packaging machine is researched and manufactured to make packaging machine run automatically. In this paper, the method of product modular is used. The paper discusses in detail the design ideas and methods of the wood plank packaging machine, including program design, structural design and control system design. The equipment has been developed and debugged and the result achieves the desired effect.The main work of the paper is as follows:(1) Wood plank packaging production process, cardboard supply and wood supply routes are analyzed based on a large number of packaging machinery literature and control systems literature besides the existing planes of factory. The entire packaging machine is divided into several modules.Design the individual modules to achieve those functions(2) Computer-aided design and traditional empirical design method are applied to the development of the machine combining the current ideas of packaging machinery design and existing structure. Then the structure of parts of the wood plank packaging machine is designed.(3) In order to make the packaging run automatically, a electrical control system is designed which use PLC(FR-FX2N) from Mitsubishi as its core.(4) The prototype is manufactured according to the design drawings. Then the device is debugged to determine the operating parameters.The automatic wood plank packaging machine describe in this paper has been used in a factory. It has a great improvement in both packaging quality and efficiency and can be extended to other similar packaging machinery.
