With the rapid development of computer and microelectronics technology in the application ofrelay protection,Transmission-Line microcomputer relay protection becomes one of the effectivemethods to guaranteeing the safe and stable operation of Transmission-line. The current situation ofthe development and trends of the microcomputer relay protection is analyzed in this paper. Toovercome the shortcomings of the existing methods of line microcomputer protection, a design ofthe software and hardware of Power Line Microcomputer protection device based on ColdFire52258processor platform is proposed.This paper describes protection algorithms and protect logic configurations of Power LineMicrocomputer protection device and discusses the design process of hardware and softwaresystem. Both hardware and software system are designed by the modularized design methods.Hardware module mainly has protective measurement and control module, analogue acquisition andtoning module, switch input and output module, communication module and human-computerinterface mode. Software module mainly have protection main program module, sampling interruptservice module, breakdown processing module and communication module. Taking ColdFire52258processor as control core, we detail the hardware modules. Based on the analysis of each modulefunction and operation characteristic, hardware circuit is designed. Then, based on the analysis ofeach software module, each module in program design is completed. In addition, this paper analyzesthe causes of microcomputer protection interference and puts forward the correspondinganti-jamming measures.A lot of simulation experiment results show that the Power Line microcomputer protectionequipments designed in this paper have characteristics of high measuring accuracy, operatingspeed, and communication reliability, which meet all the requirements of the design.
