With the rapid develoment of national eonomy,cranes have been used, Serious accidents occur each year because of the problem of safety equipment and controller. In order to improve the safety of cranes, and reduce casualties and economic losses at the same time,various protective facilities are installed on the cranes to monitor their performance.So research into the safety protective facilities on the cranes, especially the dynamic monitoring and control system is more and more important.The designed of safety monitoring and controlling system for tower crane developes an advanced monitoring and control system for crane.The design takes advantage of the technology progress in the field such as computer, sensing and controlling. The system not only performs the general functions such as detecting,controlling,alarming and so on,but also reports parameter and working conditions in Chinese,and the black-box module to record the history date of overload state.PLC centered on safety monitoring and controlling system in this paper,developed safety monitoring and control program by SIMATIC STEP7to sampl and process the signals,and realized to monitor and control some parameters,including load,load moment,amplitude and speed,lifting height and speed,rotating angle and speed; K-TP178Micro palpable HMI conducted display device,and used WinCC flexible to progress configration,and realized to display realtime information,prompt alarming, record historical working characteristic date and so on;Used PROFIBUS to realize system communication among every part of system.To perfect the function of the system, and improve the system’s measurement accuracy, the system realized monitoring and control for moment in the way of combining mechanical limiter with sensor instead of product of amplitude by load, and processing survey date basing on fitting curves in accordance with least square method.In addition, to enhance the stability and reliability,this paper adopt saseries of measures, including software comperisation,time delay comperisation controlling system, date redundancy system fault diagnosis,and designing optimum filter.The final result of the experiment indicates that the whole system works accrurately and credibility,realizing the presurned object. Establishes certain foundation for further study.
