The parameterized design is a whole process from the analyses of function to the creation of parameterized models. Parametric design, as an entirely new method of design, has been introduced abroad by industry. Such characteristics as the efficiency, practicabilities etc, that it has made it the direction of future design. The most of butterfly valve products are approved product, those products are well serialize, generalized, standardize and provide the proof of parametric design.At the same time,with the popularity of foreign mature CAD software in product development and design field, its module of outputting two-dimensional engineering graphics has been its defect. In view of the above, this paper conduct a study on valve parametric design and engineering drawings standardized treatment based on SolidWorks to improve level of valve design automation in our country, and promote modern CAD technology application.The main content of this article are:firstly,the thesis has set up three-dimensional parameterized system, this system adopts API function of Solidworks, VB as tool, performs second development based on Solidworks with the dynamic linking library mode. This paper has set up two kinds commonly used butterfly valve,and developped parameterized modeling procedures of Butterfly valve,and integrated parameter database in the program, packaged those above, finally generated a DLL Dynamic Link Library.Secondly, this paper has studied standardization methods on Solidworks engineering drawings according to gb.It discussed system options and file attributes sets relative to Solidworks outputting engineering drawings and methods of model standardized treatment in detail,and customized a series of standard drawings formats, engineering drawing template and material list. The application of file custom attributes links in the template, ensures accuracy and uniqueness in reading information of model automatically. The thesis also summarized some skills about Solidworks drawing engineering drawing, added some common tolerance, size in Commonly used types, made blocks of technical requirements and title bar, improved the efficiency of the engineering graphics drawing. Finally it combined with butterfly valve parameterized modeling procedures and generated engineering drawings which meet the national automaticly.Thirdly, in order to check the designed product performance reliability, this paper proceed finite element analysis of the strength and stiffness on the initial standard model using ANSYS to control the maximum deformation of the butterfly plate in allowable range and guarantees the butterfly plate sealing performance.Besides, the paper also carried on a certain research in butterfly valve structure,and analyzed the three eccentric butterfly valve sealing principle,and derived the butterfly plate section contour equation.This provided certain theoretical basis for parametric design.In this paper the development of butterfly valve parametric design system has certain practical meaning to enhance our country’s valve design level, and also has some impellingaction to triple eccentric butterfly valve in our research and development.The paper has Established many kinds of standard templates that engineering drawings need,and outputs engineering drawing which meet the national.It improved SolidWorks software automation degree, and enhanced the efficiency of enterprise’s production efficiency.
