Outdoor Public Facilities Design And Research Based On Sustainable Development

Outstanding performance in modern industrial society, energy, ecology, population, transportation, air, water and other issues, has prompted concern about the growing environmental crises. More and more people aware that the limits of environment will affect human evolution, development and survival. The core of outdoor public facilities design is outdoor living space construction. As an intermediary between the exchanging of human and nature as well as the most direct characterization which human impact on the natural, outdoor public facility design should play a major role on coordinating the relation between human and nature.This study is based on the concept of sustainable development theory. Analyzed the existing problems of different types of public facilities and summarized the main points of public facilities sustainable design through field investigations and user interviews. Targeted selected domestic and international successful sustainable design cases to analyze. Refined the sustainable design principle, and put forward the sustainable design principles for outdoor public facilities. Finally, the results of theoretical studies were practiced on the specific design to be verified and improved.The finally result of this study is a series of principle, which designers can use as references when doing outdoor public facilities design. It can help designers take more effective decisions in the sustainable design process or even on the way of achieving sustainable development goals.
