The Study On Application Of Chinese Classcial Garden Paving Elements In Modern Gardens In Suzhou

Landscape is an important part of urban culture of people’s lives. Elements of classical Chinese garden art are considered to be the construction of the modern landscape, while at the same time make the appropriate adjustments based on regional differences and integration. By analyzing the application of classical decorative elements in the pavement elements of modern gardens in Suzhou, some exploration of the inheritance of traditional culture and modern design innovations are discussed in this article.The survey locations is Suzhou Park, Suzhou Century Plaza and Suzhou Ping Men House and Ink Jiangnan house. The content is the garden paving materials and patterns type of applications, and survey questionnaires. The conclusions is followed:The material type of the application of the four locations a total of20kinds,13kinds of stone class, such as slate, granite, small material stone, gravel; seven kinds of brick, such as permeable brick, square brick, Sub Locke Brick;Application of patterns of patterns is total of19kinds, such as stack wins pattern seats grain bucket pattern.The survey shows that the types of Chinese classical garden paving application in the modern garden in Suzhou:Flower Street paving, cobble paving, brick paving and embedded grass floor. The types of classical elements application modern garden in Suzhou, paving patterns with pictographic patterns and abstract patterns of two kinds, which with pictograms patterns include Lotus, Begonia, the dragon, phoenix, bats and old coins, abstract patterns, including the ice cracks, the seat pattern and herringbone.The survey results show that the tourists know the common garden paving materials but not comprehensive. The vast majority of visitors can recognize the necessity of the garden paving. Garden paving has been recognized by the vast majority of visitors to a landscape. Chinese Traditional Design awareness is well-known. Different ages, different occupations, different qualifications basically have the same opinion on garden paving materials, expressed the affirmation of the existence of garden paving. The same age, different professions and educated visitors are concentrated in these two options "landscaping" and "slip resistant".This paper briefly describes the modern garden paving, and pointed out a number of errors of the modern garden paving, such as design standards, the lack of traditional culture, the loss of personality, ignoring the practical function. Finally,considering the characteristics and errors of the modern garden paving, the ideas of Chinese classical gardens of pavement in the modern landscape applications have been explored.
