Planting Scenery Study Of Overhead Floor In Hangzhou Residential Area

In recent years, the first floor of commercial residential building or the top floor of auxiliary building are greened by real estate developers from southern developed cities like Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai in China. It is a very common approach to increase greening area and improve the residential environment. This approach do achieved a great success in landscape and functional zoning, meanwhile, provided owners with a beautiful environment and comfortable activity area. Overhead floor becomes residents’new trends because it provides them with spacious area that is close to nature and living. A well-built green area at the overhead floor perfectly reflects the modern "people-oriented" concept apart from creating a more harmonious living environment. How to rationally create a landscape at the overhead floor and how to scientifically choose and layout plantings in order to have a sustainable green area. It becomes an urgent issue to be solved currently.Through taking the measures of analyzing pictures, looking up documents and visiting project site, etc., the paper elaborated the concept of overhead floor. Meanwhile, through investigating the current situation of overhead floor landscape design at home and abroad, utilizing disciplinary knowledge including architecture, esthetics,ecology and planting, etc., the paper analyzed the landscape formation, landscape design mode, and existing problem at overhead floor as well as its position located in a residential development, thus summarized the limitation and development of landscape at overhead floor (focusing on greenery). Based on the construction conditions of overhead floor in Hangzhou, after analyzing various current common design approach and its advantages&disadvantages in some actual cases (by investigating documents and cases), the paper made some suggestions and conclusion like this:increasing the height of overhead floor, blending plantings with various landscape elements, choosing planting survivable in overhead floor, introducing culture elements to space and strengthening management, etc.
