Engine Emission Results Comprehensive Analysis And Optimization Research

With the rapid development of engine industry, the exhaust pollution of engine has become one of the main reasons to affect the air quality. Therefore, the corresponding emission standards become more and more strictly. The manufacturers of engines are required to improve their engine design technology to reduce emission to conform to the emission standards. As we know, the emission reduction measures could not help to improve the emission targets obviously, so this requires the emission test equipment with effective and accurate results to find the changing tendency of engine emission during emission reduction.This paper mainly introduces the development history of the emissions rules and regulations for vehicles as well as engines used for other application of various countries at home and abroad, such as, engines for off-road, marine application, especially the emission rules for marine engines. Based on the abovementioned, this paper summarizes the current standard rules and rules to be implemented for engine emission all over the world.This paper briefly states the status of engine emission test equipment and their functions, principle and shortcomings as well as the emission standard regulations to be fulfilled and the testing principles to be followed.This paper also briefly states the calculation and correction methods to the emission test results which include the calculation methods for actual measurement results conversing to standard measurement conditions and conversion between dry and wet bases as well as the correction methods for O2disturbance, CO2disturbance, H2O disturbance and dilution ratio.Taken Jichai JC15engine as prototype test engine, the emission tests are done, showing the influences of engine and test equipment data to emission test results.Finally, in order to easily analyze the emission results, collect and find the optimal engine matching parameters, a simple query software for optimal results is to be developed and designed.Through the calculation software, choose a set of optimal Settings in thousands of emission contrast test data under different rail pressure, different advance angle of, finally, as JiChai JC15engine optimal allocation to meet emissions standard。...
