Steam turbine is one of the important power equipment in modern country, and widely used in power plant, petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, building materials, paper making, food, city gas, etc. With the rapid development of economy, steam turbine gradually direct to the big unit and high power. So steam turbine structure is more complicated and in worse running condition environment, the design of product also put forward higher request. High pressure inner cylinder is an important part of the steam turbine power, it is installed in the steam turbine shell also cylinder inside. In high temperature and high pressure of the complex work conditions, its rigidness and tightness relation to the turbine operation safety and efficiency, so strength calculation is needed in the design to internal cylinder body in order to ensure the safe operation of steam turbine. Due to the complex structure of the cylinder, the original strength calculation method is difficult to accurately calculate the complex structure of the cylinder body strength, so to ensure the operation of the steam turbine doesn’t appear inside cylinder deformation and gas leakage, how to improve the design of cylinder in the strength calculation quality and check its structure deformation is very important.In view of this situation, the author take "150mw steam turbine’s high pressure inner cylinder strength analysis and structure improvement" as the research object, and take the high pressure inner cylinder as an example, using the finite element analysis technology as the main research tool, choose SolidWork and ANSYS as a physical model to established the finite element analysis software platform, through the establishment of the geometry of the cylinder entity model and finite element model, we analyzes cylinder body strength, bolt intensity and steam tightness, so as to accurately grasp inside cylinder stress distribution, check bolt intensity, to investigate the force situation of each point, which can get the stress pattern and find out the stress non-uniform area. And then reinforce or improve stress uneven area and optimize structure design. Thus with more accurate, quick and intuitive way, we provide a theory basis for the design of the structure of the cylinder.This paper using ANSYS finite element analysis software for high pressure inner cylinder strength analysis, which can more accurately grasp inside cylinder body of different points of the stress situation, understand the stress distribution rule, get stress pattern, easily find inside cylinder not enough strength area and the cylinder not enough rigor parts. The method has the certain reference value to other cylinder body parts strength analysis.
